In 1968 Mal joined Myer Stores in Melbourne for almost ten years, he then had a ten year stint in discount department store retailing with Venture Stores, before returning to Myer as a store general manager.

In 1992 a sea change took Mal to the Jim's Group of franchised home services where, in 1994, he became a Regional Franchisor for the Jim's brand establishing it in Auckland, New Zealand.

17 years later and with the Jim's Group established throughout New Zealand, Mal returned to Australia working as a business consultant. Four years later Mal formed SEO Creative Writing to provide articles rich in SEO content for many web sites.

Mal's SEO Creative Writing skills come from his experience in sales, marketing, organisation and branding in the retail and franchising industries, and allow him to authoritatively and professionally create articles which fill the needs of small and large business.
