All blog posts should start by researching a keyword or phrase that then gives you the subject of your post. The idea is to write around that keyword or phrase and make it interesting enough to hold your readers attention. Wherever possible include the keyword or phrase in your post title.

Now consider your own search habits. What do you look for? I’m sure when it comes to blogs, even your favourite blogger, it’s the title that gets you in. Something that is said right at the start is what makes you click again.

What can also be helpful is a header image, something that adds to the title and refers to the article content is just as important as the title. Make sure, though, that you have the right to use the header image you choose, better still take the image yourself, then you know you have the right.
