Renewable Energy

When are we going to see a little sanity come into play in the renewables debate, decisions, that will ruin the country’s finances and drive up power costs for every man, woman and child for the foreseeable future, are being made NOW.
“But the bipartisan 23 per cent target will require the building of $10 billion worth of new wind turbines by 2020.
That’s $5000 per household in capital costs that you will pay over the next 15 years under Labor versus $1000 per household in capital costs that you will pay in just four years under the Coalition.
Then there’s the extra cost associated with running back-up systems for when wind and solar generation doesn’t work”.
There needs to be some realtime feedback to ALL of our politicians, before our taxes are further used to pay for any more wind farms or solar ‘initiatives’.
Why can’t we figure out how to use our non-renewable energy supplies, gas and coal, in a cleaner way than is currently causing angst among renewables advocates.
